Organizational justice perception and organizational citizenship behavior of shipyard workers: the role of identification and emotional intelligence

Purpose The purpose of this study is to review whether organization identification has a role mediation and emotional intelligence (EI) moderating in the relationship between organizational justice perception (OJP) citizenship behavior (OCB). Design/methodology/approach In order achieve aim research, data obtained from 388 employees six shipyards Yalova-Altinova Shipyards by survey technique were analyzed. To test research hypotheses, SPSS (v22) PROCESS macro (v3.4) plugin developed Hayes (2019) Model 4 5 used via Bootstrap 5,000 sampling technique. Findings This found that OJP impacts (OI) OCB. addition, findings indicate OI positively reveals played mediating However, authors do not find support for hypothesis direct effect on OCB differs depending level EI level. Research limitations/implications major limitation its sample included only shipyards. results will hopefully offer important insights into understanding directing human resources conducting activities construction, manufacturing, maintenance ships available at center maritime transportations. Originality/value draws attention causal relationships OJP, OCB, EI, which affect attitudes behaviors employees.
